Description
Reusable Retractors for General Surgery
Retractors are tools used in general surgery. They hold an incision open so the surgeon can see and reach the area clearly. Retractors can move or hold back tissue such as tendons, arteries, veins, and muscle.
There are two main types:
-
Hand-held retractors (held by a surgical assistant)
-
Self-retaining retractors (stay in place on their own)
